The jury of the international magazine Cruising World looked at the catamaran Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 at the Annapolis Sailing Show and awarded it the "Boat of The Year Award 2023 in the multihull category.

The popularity of cruising multihulls continues to grow, and there is no sign of it slowing down. The popularity of catamarans and trimarans was once again confirmed in Cruising World's trials for this election, with five models competing in the Cruising Multihull class.
Not only a model Fountaine Pajot was voted this year's big winner, French shipyards were in the majority in the selection.

The secret assets of the Tanna 47
During the test, the jury was impressed by the boat's comfort, design and performance. The Tanna 47 is the only catamaran to have won this award, and has established itself as a new market leader.
What convinced Judge Herb McCormick were the performance and the handling the practical helm station, and finally the elegant styling.
Judge Mark Pillsbury was impressed by thelayout of the bridge first.

As with McCormick, the handling and performance of the Tanna 47 were also strong points for Pillsbury: with 13 knots of wind, the Tanna 47 was making 7-8 knots and the helm station is well laid out. Finally, he found the boat practical enough to be sailed solo or several.
