Before the new Fountaine Pajot 51, the SABA 50 was the largest catamaran in the range for sailing without the need for a skipper. Ideal for families and charterers alike, this model has been a huge success, with more than 140 boats on all the world's oceans.
The AURA 51 is in the same spirit. With its 4, 5 or 6 cabin configurations, it features a number of innovations, including a huge flybridge and generous, functional living spaces.
Announced on 3 September 2020, Fountaine Pajot's AURA 51 was launched at the end of March 2022.
AURA 51 includes 1600W of solar panels, 4 times more than the SABA 50! Fountaine Pajot's ambition is to give you maximum autonomy at sea.
At the end of June 2022 in Lorient, during the Fountaine Pajot International Dealers Meeting, the shipyard revealed its new the first electrically-powered AURA 51. It was then exhibited at the beginning of September 2022 at the Cannes Yachting Festival for its World Premiere.
Optional electric motorisation for Fountaine Pajot catamarans will gradually be extended to the entire range.
The layout of this catamaran has been redesigned to optimise space and improve circulation on board.
The chart table is located at the entrance to the saloon, with direct access to both the interior and exterior. It is just before the large sliding door - twice as wide as the SABA's - linking the saloon and cockpit, transforming the deck into a huge open space. You'll love the ease of movement and the open-plan galley.
Protected by a windscreen, the cockpit of the Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 houses a table that can seat up to 14 guests. You'll also love the private access leading from the cockpit directly to your Maestro Suite.
The Lounge Deck XXL also offers a convivial seated area, as well as large sun loungers.
The finishing touch is the sea view from the Queen Size bed in each cabin.
With its mast and sails, the AURA 51 exceeds the capabilities of cruising catamarans of the same size. The mast is installed forward of the deck, and the boom is easily accessible. The well thought-out rigging, mainsail and genoa make for pleasant sailing.
The mid-height helm station, so dear to the Fountaine Pajot shipyard, provides excellent communication with both the flybridge and the cockpit.

"As soon as you step aboard, via the very wide aft skirt, you are impressed by the dimensions of this large boat. The platform is just over 15 metres long and 8 metres wide: that's a pretty big place to call home. Except that the Aura is much bigger than that, with the upper deck and the cabins in the hulls. There's also the 'lounge deck' above the cockpit and areas designed specifically for sunbathing above the deckhouse. In short, there's no shortage of space on board, and no shortage of ways to use it.
